It's simply really beautiful and really caught my attention. This is also the first Porno Graffitti song featured at the Senshi Gakuen to have lyrics done by Akihito-san, NOT Haruichi-san. You can actually tell that the lyrics are quite different from usual Haruichi-san lyrics. Even though the song is very introspective and somewhat sad, the basic theme doesn't have quite the same level of loneliness that Haruchi-san lyrics tend to have. Well, at least AKIHITO-SAN'S happy....

monogoshi wa yawarakaku kanjou wa dasazu ni
sutairisshu ni furumau koto ga otona to iu mono
me no mae de okotteiru samazama na genjou o
reisei ni kamikudaiteiku risou no shouraizou

I can't display gentle-mannered emotions
Behaving stylishly is what it is to be an adult
The various things happening in front of my eyes
They're calmly simplified down an ideal vision of the future

nanda tsumannee konna ikikata
hayaku jibun o nurikaeteshimae

What's that how dull this way of life
Hurry up repaint yourself

ima kono mune kara afuredasu jounetsu ya ikidoori o
koe takaraka ni hakidaseru sonna boku mo sonna hito mo ii darou

Now it's overflowing from my heart passion or resentment
I loudly spit out my voice maybe I should be that me that person

asahi ga nobotteiru mata kyou ga hajimaru
na no ni sukoshi mo kawarenai kokoro utarenai

The morning sun is rising today is beginning again
But it doesn't change even a little bit it can't touch my heart

doushita? chiisaku natteshimatta?
mou nani ni mo hairikiranai no?

What's wrong? Did it become smaller?
Will nothing else fit inside any more?

aa subarashiki kandou ga soko ni wa atta hazu na no ni
ikiteyuku tame ni surihetta? sonna boku o kanashimu beki nandarou

Ahh although there must be wonderful feelings in there
Did you wear yourself down in order to live? I wonder if I should pity myself

kaze ga mau sora ni sono mi o nageru koto ga dekimasu ka?
ooki na kanashimi o mae ni taeru koto ga dekimasu ka?
kataku nigirishimeta kobushi o furiorosazu ni iremasu ka?
soshite sore ga ikiru koto da to mune o hatte iemasu ka? aa...

Can you throw yourself into the sky where the wind dances?
Can you endure before great sadness?
Can you not swing your hard, clenched fist?
And then, can you throw out your chest and say, that's being alive? Ahh... (1)

(1) Akihito-san does something very interesting with the lyrics here. Although he simply cries out "Ahh" at the end of the song, he uses two characters to represent things to represent this. The first used is naku meaning "to cry out" (usually used for animals), and yobu meaning "to call out". Very interesting...

Lyrics belong to Akihito and Sony Music Records, taken from the Kumo o mo tsukamu tami album, SRCL-5325 (track 8). Not like the words make any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway. Romanized and translated into English very badly by Mina-P, with desperately needed help, as always, by Mako-chan.
