Version 1.00

Note: The first track from Gackt's MOON album. As tradition seem indicate, the first track truly sets the mood for the entire album. Noah is completely instrumental, but that doesn't mean that Gackt can't write lyrics for it. These lines truly set the mood for the entire sound of the album. The sound of the song combined with the title of "Noah" truly bring to mind the image of the beginning of civilization (at least from a Western view). Amazing.

~Chapter Three~

yurusanai sonzai no boku
yurushi o ataetekureru kimi
tsuki wa hikari o hanachi
mou kare wa inai to
yasashii yoru ga kata o daite
ame wa kanashimanai de to
namida o nagasu
boku no kawari ni...
ima wa mada
hanareru koto wa dekinai keredo
kono omoi wa itsumademo
anata ni tsunagatteiru
juushi no tsuki

I whose existance cannot be forgiven
You who gives me forgiveness
The moon gives out light
When he's no longer around
The kind night embraces your shoulders
When the rain doesn't grieve
Tears flow
Instead of me...
Right now
I still can't let go
But these feelings will always
Bind me to you
The fourteenth moon (1)

(1) I'm not quite sure, but I think that this might be a reference to the nearly full moon. In the lunar calendar, which has 29-30 days, juugo ya (literally "night fifteen") is the night when the moon is said to be full. So, by the lunar calendar, the 14th moon would be the night before the moon is full. Maybe...?

Lyrics belong to Gackt Camui and Nippon Crown, taken from the MOON album, CRCP-4009 (track 1). Not like the words make any sense if you haven't heard the song, anyway. Romanized and translated into English very badly by Mina-P, with desperately needed help, as always, by Mako-chan. Special thanks also to Debbie, for sending me the lyrics, and Leggiero, for always proofing my translations. Any comments or corrections can be mailed to Mina-P at
